In the first half of 2018 alone, Homestead Title has participated in three Habitat for Humanity Women’s Builds. Homestead is also a 2018 Platinum Sponsor for Business Mixers benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of SE Louisiana. Plus, they continuously participate in a variety of other events and activities benefitting local organizations throughout the year.

Their favorite philanthropy just might be their adoption of Ace, the police horse (pictured below). You may have seen Ace on YouTube as the dancing horse (Click Here). Now that Angola Prison has ended its horse breeding and training program, NOPD’s Mounted Unit is in charge of breeding and training their own horses for use in crowd control and policing of big special events such as Super Bowls, various festivals including Voodoo Fest and Essence Fest, and the many activities and parades celebrating Mardi Gras. Homestead Title’s adoption specifically helps offset the costs of purchasing horses for the breeding program and for the equipment and training tools associated with getting the new horses street-ready and outfitted properly. Last year, the first two foals made possible through this program were born and, this year, NOPD’s Mounted Unit is expecting two more! Homestead Title is so proud to support the growth of one of the NOPD’s most iconic and integral divisions.
